Mods for axe
I currently have a max damage chaos axe which is very cool looking with black dye btw. Anyway i wanted some input on what kind of mods i should put in it because i have no idea what to look at. Also give me somewhat of a price range if possible!
Thanks |

vampiric 3/-1 is good. most defense or fortitude mods are good.
any max mod will cost you a bit though. |

Here's a reference you can look at to see what is available for axes:
http://www.gwonline.net/page.php?p=125#Axes And personally, I prefer a Furious or Sundering Haft and an Axe Mastery Grip. In PvP you'll find your warrior one of the last targets, so it's not important to aim defensively in my opinion. |

You're getting some pretty crummy advice here so far. The first order of business is to find out whether you have a flat (6-28 only) max damage axe or one with +15%>50% health or another bonus modifier. Unless you have a max+13% or better axe, I wouldn't waste a 3:1 vamp haft on it. If you do have one, then the max 3:1 is a great mod. As for the suggestion to go with sundering -- ugh. It's not even remotely a good idea to use one of those (even a max one) over a perfect vamp haft. Regarding the grip, axe mastery and fortitude are examples of those modifications that look sexy but really aren't. Go with defense or enchantment extension, depending on your build. Those are really the only two you should consider. Do a search and you'll find numerous threads where Ensign and others have explained the math behind many of these comments.
